RH_READ_OBJECT - Read Object

Functionality

This function returns the text and validity of an object.

If you want to output the object text in a list, use the DISPLAY_TEXT parameter instead of STEXT.

Notes

This function does not perform an existence check. In particular, it cannot check whether an object is valid in a given period. To do that, look at the parameters OBEG and OEND, and compare them with the required period.

The LANGU parameter is only a recommendation, in other words if a particular text does not exist, the system reads it in other languages (analogous to table T778L).

The function does not perform a basis authorization check.

If you want to read more than one object, we recommend that you use RH_READ_OBJECT_SET, which allows mass access. Alternatively you can call RH_TEXT_BUFFER_FILL(_EXT) to prepare reading.
