RSDG_IOBJ_MULTI_ACTIVATE - Data Basis: Activates a Range of InfoObjects

Functionality

This module activates multiple InfoObjects, which must first be stored in the revised (M) version in the database.

Activation takes place in several stages:

The InfoObjects are read (M version).
The range of InfoObjects is checked for consistency. If there are dependencies to other InfoObjects, the definition is read from the current range. If the dependent object is not part of the range to be activated, the definition is read from the database.
If the time-dependency of attributes has been changed or attributes have been deleted, only the master data tables are converted.
The DDIC objects of the InfoObjects are created in the M version.
The DDIC objects of the InfoObjects are activated.
Every InfoObject is checked to make sure that all DDIC objects are active. If this is the case, further objects are created (number ranges, routines, and so on).
If no errors occur for an InfoObject, it is activated (the M version is copied to the A version).
If errors have occurred, the system attempts to restore the old active version of the InfoObject (after step 5, the DDIC objects no longer correspond to the active version). If this attempt is successful, you can continue to work with the active version. Otherwise, the status of the InfoObject is switched to "inactive".
