Functionality

This module only serves as an example for the interface and design of search help exits in search help.

All of the interface parameters defined here are obligatory for any function module that is to act as a search help exit. This is because the person calling the module does not know which parameters are used internally.

A search help exit is called at several times during the F4 process. The relevant step of the process is given in CALLCONTROL STEP. If the module only wants to perform a few modifications before the step, CALLCONTROL STEP is to remain unchanged.

However, if the step is to be taken over entirely by the module, the next step has to be returned in CALLCONTROL STEP.

The module has to react to all steps that it does not recognize, and all steps that it cannot address, with an immediate EXIT.
