Functionality

Note that this module may only be used in agreement with Business Intelligence. It is not intended to replace the corresponding functions in SAP NetWeaver.

The module is used to read authorization for reporting in BI from an InfoCube designed for this purpose. This enables the required authorizations to be copied from the data of an application (such as HR), which ensures that the data that users are permitted or not permitted to see in BI is the same as that in the application transactions, even if the authorization objects or authorization concepts are different.

The values read are saved to table E_THX_AUTVAL, which is used as an input parameter for the function module RSSB_AUTH_MODIFY in the same function group.

Example

This module is normally used together with module RSSB_AUTH_MODIFY. A simple example can be found in report RSSB_BW_AUTH_DEMO_2.
