Functionality

This function module is an interface description only and does not contain any instructions. It is intended for developers of those additional components that provide their own function module at Event 00001240 (Check credit information number).

Function module SAMPLE_PROCESS_00001240 must not be changed.

If you want to create your own function module that is to be accessed at the callup point mentioned above, proceed as follows:

1. Copy the function module to your own name range.
2. Do not change any transfer parameters !!
3. Write your own coding in the copied function module.
4. Save and activate your function module.
5. Carry out the necessary settings in Customizing. Business Transaction Events

PROCESS

This process is always reached when the credit information number is entered in the vendor master data or in the credit management master data.

INTERFACE

The credit information number and the vendor master data or credit management master data are transferred to the additional component.

You can enter and use the function module DUNS_NUMBER_CHECK for process 00001240 so that you can activate the check (which is active up to 3.0D) according to the rules of Dun & Bradstreet. When you call up this function module, you can choose whether to run the MOD10 check (old procedure) only, or whether to run the MOD10 + 5 check (new procedure) as well.
If you do not change the default setting, the new method is implemented.
