Functionality

This Function Module spells out amounts for Indian currency. It converts a numerical amount in Indian currency to words in the regional language.

The parameters CURRENCY, AMOUNT and LANGUAGE have to be entered.

The structure SPELL transfers the converted amounts. The function module enters the amount in words in the WORD and DECWORD fields.

Further information

The Function Module uses table T015Z (figures and numbers in words) for the conversion. The grammar for maintaining the number entries for the Indian local languages is explained in note 1524176. Please follow the pattern specified as per the note.
