Functionality

The function module TR_CHECK_NAME_CLASS can also be called outside the Correction and Transport System as no database update is performed.

The function checks whether the object transferred in the WI_PGMID, WI_OBJECT and WI_OBJNAME parameters lies in the SAP or customer name range. The class assignment is output in the WE_NAME_CLASS parameter:

  • "S" - object lies in the SAP name range
  • "C" - object lies in the customer name range
  • " " - no name range assignment
