UPG_GET_SINGLE_COMPREL - Reading a single component release

Functionality

This function module reads the current release of an individual component active in the system. You can also use this function module to check whether components exist.

EV_BASISSTATE always returns the status of the Basis Release, even if another component was specified. The possible statuses are defined and documented in the domain SUGSBASSTA. They are determined from the double entry of the Basis Release in SVERS and CVERS.

Since add-ons are only stored in CVERS as of Basis Release 46A, in
lower releases this module can be used for main components only.
