Functionality
This function modules checks if merchandise has been procurred for the selected sales orders/stock transport orders in a distribution center.
This check is made using the availability check functions (ATP server).
The document items and their schedule lines and open quantities are passed on to the ATP server to check availability based on ATP logic. The system only carries out a check; no corrected quantities are passed on (exception listed below) and no quantities blocked. The check is made in display mode.
Excluding stocks from the check results in corrected requirements that have not to be checked being passed on to the MRP elements.
- Plant stock (WB)
- Storage location stock (LB)
- Batch stock (CH)
- Stock of a batch in a storage location (LC)
The quantity already procurred for a particular document schedule line corresponds to the quantity available for the schedule line as reported by the ATP server.
Notes
You must enter a check rule for the availability check. The system tests the rule used to determine whether it works without a
replenishment leadtime.
Dependencies
Checks specific to particular sales documents, documents or items (i.e. customer stock, consignment stock etc.) are not carried out correctly, as they are not in line with the principles of targeted procurement. Batch-specific checks are not supported either.
Further notes
Possible to influence check via user exists after calling and analyzing results.
- The quantities can be changed in the user exit. Increasing the quantity results in procurement of less. Reducing the quantities results in procurement of more.
