If you use the 'cursor insert' feature, several data records can
be written to the database with one network transfer. This reduces
the number of communications between application host and
database host, and therefore reduces the network traffic.

If you switch off 'cursor insert', all INSERT statements are
forwarded individually to the database.

Its influence on performance is not insignificant.

The maximum number of data records transferred with a
| statement when using 'cursor insert' is controlled by the size of |
| buffer for inserting the DB interface. |
| The corresponding profile parameter is 'dbs/inf/insert_buffer_size'. |
