If you set this parameter appropriately, the dispatch of
SQL statements with result information that is not especially
important, from the DB interface to the database, is delayed.
The statements are dispatched with the next 'important'
statement.
'Optimized message passing' reduces
network traffic.

| If 'array fetch' is deactivated with the parameter |
| 'dbs/inf/array_fetch_off', then the optimized message transmission |
| is deactivated automatically, since this works correctly only with |
| 'array fetch'. |
