| This parameter defines the maximum number of work processes that the |
| server can start and therefore defines the size of the internal |
| process table. |

| The work processes actually started when the server is started up |
| are those defined by the following parameters: |

| Their total must be less than or equal to the value of the parameter |
| rdisp/wp_max_no. |

| During an operation mode switch, the number of the individual |
| process types can be changed. However, the criterion that the total |
| cannot exceed the value of rdisp/max_wp_no continues to apply. |
| |
| The "new" option of dynamically generating processes is also used |
| when handling deadlocks. If all processes of a type, such as dialog, |
| are in the status "Stopped", a process of this type is started, if |
| possible. Once the bottleneck has been resolved, the "dynamic" |
| process is then ended again. For more information, see also the |

| To remain compatible with "old" configurations, you can assign the |
| value DEFAULT to the parameter. In this case, the parameter value is |
| the total of the above parameters plus 2. |
