Remote logon after normal logon
Koos,While searching the egroup for a problem we are experiencing, I came upon
your posting of a couple of weeks ago.
We also are on 31H, V4R5M0, with a 31I kernel of 584 and have been noticing
some weird Rfc type prolems for the last few weeks. The problems may not
show up for several days and then last for just a couple of minutes. I've
noticed it both on our 3-tiered Prd system (datebase server and apps) and
also on our Dev/test system which has only a database server. At times we
will get the remote logon screen as you described. At other times, dialog
steps that spin off "quisi-background" processes to our database server to
complete updates, will error out with the message "you are not authorized to
logon to the target system" (call_function_remote_error), even though the
user normally can complete the same or similar transaction without any
problems. Often times, when one user has a problem, several others will have
the same type of problem over the next few minutes. Then it may disapper and
not show up for days.
The OSS notes seem to point to RFC definitions that are not defined
correctly. But everything seems to be fine and nothing has been changed in
SM59 for quite some time.
My feeling is that this first started happening when we upgraded our kernel
with the latest 31I kernel cd. We were at patch level 535 where all was
well, and upgraded with the cd and what was then current on Sapserv to 574.
After I noticed some Rfc problems over the next few weeks, I further
upgraded to 584 because there were notes in the patches refering to rfc
fixes. However, the problem continues.
My question is have you found a solution to this problem in the interim, and
if not, did you apply the last kernel cd and start having these problems? If
you aren't beyond 535, I guess that will blow my theory out of the water.

Hello all.
System 31h (AS400 - V4R5M0).
For the last week we had the following problem
intermittently;
When our users log on to the system they get another
prompt for a remote login screen? Everybody get this
for about an hour or longer. The same thing happen if
you print locally and when you display system
processes with sm51. I looked at all the OSS notes I
could find and none could help me.
Is there somebody that can help me.
