What do you do when an SAP user leaves?
We've been beaten up by audit on this so we have an ABAP that locks usersthat haven't signed on for 30 days. HR sends us a list of people each month
that have left the company and we delete them from the system. There is a
batch user for each area eg. SDBATCH, PPBATCH... and developers are expected
to use them. If they don't, and jobs don't run, well that's their problem.
Regards,
Kevin.

very correct. also release or transfer any requests/tasks that the user
owns.

Hi,
One reason to keep a user could be that the user owns batchjobs (on the
other
hand just create a batch user).

Klaus

Depends on how anal you are (Chad, you shut up).
In the beginning we talked about this issue with Sue Dean of Audit. I
think
the recommended procedure is to lock the user for a year.
We didn't do that for various reasons, mostly not wanting to maintain it
or
create a user like davidh for e-mail and davidhi for SAP. We just waste
them
as they leave.
I miss you,
David

Hey everyone,
Here is a seemingly simple question. What do you do when an SAP user
leave the company? Are there any requirements to leave the user defined
on the system, or can you just delete them as they walk out the door?
What do you do at your company, and why?
Thanks in advance for your insights!!!
