Customers implementing the latest from mySAP
Good question - what does run on the iSeries?
- Except for the notable exception of APO ( Database, Application Server,
Live cache and Optimizer), all the DATABASE components run on the iSeries.
So , of course, all of R/3, the industry solutions, CRM database, BBP, SEM,
workplace server, BW etc, all run on the iSeries.
The front end components (SAP GUI for example) does not run on the iSeries
Some middleware components (ITS and related components) do not run on the
iSeries.
Most of the non iSeries stuff tends to be NT specific components.
I hope to find a way to run the APO DB soon! I will keep you all updated.
There is a lot more detail possible from this simple explanation - for
example, I have detailed descriptions of how CRM may be implemented,
currently in draft form.
If there are specific questions, please feel free to ask, and if I do not
know the answer, I will find someone who does.

Hi SAPlings!
AFAIK (correct me if I'm wrong) APO and other mySAP things do not
run on iSeries. So the poll goes to the wrong community...
Interesting for me would be to hear of experiences with the
mixture of instances on iSeries and NT or other boxes.
