OSS Note 135369 - Parameter 'as4/dbmon/memory_ size = 100'

Hello Brian,

this parameter is really interesting!

I checked this and there are a few inconsistencies in the notes that are
corrected in the next days.

The note 135369 was only designed up to 4.5A, because only there the
DB-monitor was NOT part of the deleivery.
The note 321729 is designed for 4.5B and higher.

as4/dbmon/memory_size = 100 ???
We will change both notes to set it to 1000, because 100 MB is definitely to
small. SAP is dumping the data every hour by default (you could do it more
often as well with a change in ST04). On a PRD system 100 MB will be mostly
to small to contain the complete SQL-data for 1 hour. So you will miss a
part of the data then what only occurs when you try to drill down the SQLs.
As IBM only occupies memory that is really needed you could increase it
higher and won't consume more DASD.

So increase it to 1000, when you still would have problems with partly
missing data in ST04, increase it to 3000.

Regards

Volker
