Codepage problem between SAP and Ixos
Hello Jan,I think first the most interesting is where the codepage 0222 comes from and
where it is setup. I don't know of such a number. So there is no wonder that
there doesn't exist any conversion table from 0222 to 0120.
The points at the end that IXOS uses 1100 is not a problem when you are
talking about RFC. RFC can convert everything and does this at the receiver
(here in the SAP system on AS/400). The IFS-Files of the IXOS have to have
850 (ASCII) as they contain ASCII. This is one of the advantages of AS/400
that you tag a file with a codepage so that you can "see" outsite what shoul
be insite. But is should fit, otherwise you get into trouble. That SAP
generates 500 is normal as well as our jobs run with 500 (EBCDIC german
multi) and contain similar data.
Unfortunately there can be some other configuration problems that you see
rubbish in the end even when your 0222 problems are fixed. But by now this
were normally configuration problems (at least when the last support-packs
were installed).
