SAP BW Dataloads V's Archiving
Courtney,I was under the impression (for other responses to a similar question), that
you could extract the archived data into a text file format and then upload
it into BW. Sure it's a bit more work but it was possible. Are you aware /
in agreement with this method?

Andi,
It would be best to do BW data load before you archive.
Once you archive and the data was deleted, you can't pull the data back from
archive into BW.

Subject: SAP BW Dataloads V's Archiving
Hi,
we are currently going quite mad on a number of SAP projects & I need
to bend my head around BW & Archiving.
We currently have 2yrs worth of data in our live system & this is
prime archive material. However, we have also decided that BW seems
like a good idea.
So, my question is this....Should I perform my first BW dataload from
my system before I archive? or should I archive first & then load my
BW system?
To me, it would seem logical to do my BW load before archiving as I
would get more detailed info?
does this make sense, can anyone put their spin on it
many thanks
Andi
