lock table size changed in 4.5B !!!
Hi all 4.5B users!With the latest kernel-CD (patch 647) there occured a problem when the
following parameter was set greater then about 16000:
enque/table_size
The standard is about 2000 or so, but big customers often increase this in
order to prevent an overflow of the SAP locking table. In note 111289 it is
described to set the parameter maximum to:
enque/table_size = 38000
We now made a kernel-patch 677 in order to fix this again. Unfortunately it
seems to be only possible to increase this up to about 31500 at the moment.
We are still investigating it.
So, when you use the new kernel CD at the moment, update at lesat to 677 and
don't use more then 31500 for this pareameter.
We will either fix this (perhaps a new kernel-patch) or have to update the
note 111289 when it is no more possible to support 38000 KB with 4.5B.
