SAP Data To Screen Transfer

We ended up deploying the "low speed connection" for remote users;
basically their SAPLOGON.INI file is different than our internal users. To
configure "LSC"; go into advanced options on the saplogon config

Subject: SAP Data To Screen Transfer

We have seen some strange performance issues with SAP when accessed remotely
through a Windows NT RAS server. Locally, transactions such as MM03, VA05,
and SIS inquiries of info structures have times ranging from good to
acceptable. Remotely, through the RAS, sometimes the processes run
abnormally long or time out. Does SAP send back to the client all the data
for all the levels of drill down from an info structure, or the data for all
the views from a transaction, at one time? Or does it buffer some of the
data on the database server or app server? Also, assuming that SAP
continuously polls the client that made the request to ensure that there is
an active connection in place, does a request to the app server from a
client get reduced priority or go into a "suspend" mode if there is too long
a gap between successful polls? We are on release 4.5b, suing both the 4.5
and 4.6 GUIs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
