Co-exist SAP with Legacy System
Hello Mick,One good idea might be to LPAR the box and run your "OLD" system in its own
partition. Also remember you should have at least 2gb of RAM for each SAP
instance, and at least 2 processors for each to run efficiently. We are
doing this on a non-LPAR box and have seen significant performance issues
within our SAP instance. Our plan is to do the LPAR and add more processors.

Subject: Co-exist SAP with Legacy System
Hi All
We are planning to move into SAP, however with a tight
budget to work with, I was tasked to investigate if we
could co-exist the legacy application with SAP in one
single box.
Here is my questions
I know very well that the beauty and friendliness of
this box certainly encourages cohabitation but are
there any other operational aspects that I may need to
consider ?
Have anyone of you have had this setup and running
perfectly and what are the disadvantages ??
thanks & regards
mick
