Kernel-change 40b_COM
Hi Volker,I've applied 40b_COM kernel at 5.4.01 in my test-system. Then I read in the
list that there are problems with this kernel
and so i did'nt install this kernel in my prod-system.
Then I was busy with the implementation of the european currency conversion.
Now I want to upgrade my test and prod system with the newest kernel.
In the download area resides a kernel with patch level 863.
My questions are:
1. as far as I remember, these file contains a complete kernel and I have
only to apply this one file.
2. how can I install this kernel in my prod-system ? Can this be done direct
from the download area via ftp or have I to use the CD first. ?
3. What about the other files in the download area (CHKR3PTF, FIXR3OWNS
e.g.) Have they all to be applied in the same way as the kernel file ?
