Directory sapcd on IFS
Hi Bill,/sapcd is a symbolic link to /QOPT. If you are actually seeing files in
there, then there is almost certainly a CD mounted in your optical drive.
I'm not sure when /sapcd is used and I'm not sure what would happen if you
deleted it. I think (I hope) that any SAP installation / upgrade from CD
would create it anew if it were needed. However it's just a symbolic link
and all that storage you see it using will not come back to you just by
deleting it.

Subject: Directory sapcd on IFS
Hi Everyone,
I was looking in the IFS when I came
across a directory called sapcd.
There is a subdirectory called C1005450_01.
As I drill lower, I end up with directory names of
licensed products for the AS400.
These directories contain read only files.
The name sounds like a CUM PTF package.
Has anyone ever seen this?
Will I have any problems if I delete these objects?
Thanks
