Logon to app server does not work
Hi group,I have a 40B (kernel 706) running on an S30. I wanted to move the
system to a new AS/400, backed up everything, and renamed the system
to a new name as the new AS/400 will get the system name and IP
address of the S30.
Well, I needed to go back into SAP on the S30 so I renamed the system
name on the S30 back to the name it had originally.
I could start the SID but when trying to logon to SAP I get right on
the logon screen the following message:
No logon possible (no hw ID received by mssg server)
I found note 311118, which basically describes my problems, however
ti mentions that I should never spefiy parameter rdis/myname. Well, I
did not even touch any parameter after renaming the system, thus, the
value (when looking at it from the OS) in the default profile is
still set to rdisp/vbname = $(rdisp/myname)
I checked on my production system and the parameter is the very same.
Did anybody else have this problem?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
