Client Copy with CUA - no users in new cli ent
Hello Betsy. It seems that CUA has a table that includes all clients within the system
for CUA work. We once had CUA activated and also ran into this problem with
re-using a client that was previously used before. We did the same thing
you did and just recreated a new client with a different number.

client
Thanks for the responses on note 320449. I had tried that already to no
avail. Also, I could not create users from within the client since SU01
had no create function - fallout from being grabbed by CUA.
The client I created (300) had been created before and setup in the model
view for CUA. Then the client was deleted and I thought removed from the
CUA model. When we decided we needed a new client I used the same client
number 300 again. I guess some CUA pieces were still in place somewhere,
because the client copy would not copy any users to 300 - including SAP*,
DDIC ...
To recover and get to a place where we had a client with users, I deleted
300 again and created a new client 301. After a client copy to populate
it, we now have a client with users. I will not set 301 up in CUA.
Long way around, but we are there.

no users in new client

Hi all,
We have CUA implemented, and with CUA active no user data will be copied in
a client copy even if you select a profile that includes the option. The
problem I have now is I have a created a new client and did a client copy
from an existing client. The new client has NO users, not even SAP
standards like SAP*, DDIC, ... The only way I can log onto the client is
with SAP* and PASS as in a newly created client.
I set the client up in the CUA model thru BD64, but because there are no
users in the client, I can't distribute the partner profile. I tried using
SAP* and PASS in the RFC destination but that won't get me in either.
I think in the past there was some discussion in the group about a way to
temporarily suspend CUA. I'm hoping if I can do this, I can do a client
copy of just the user master data from another client.
Any hint of info would be much appreciated.
thanks in advance,
Betsy Strebe
