BC: One application server for two database se rver
Hi,it is not stupid, to use an APPL-Server for 2 DB-servers, if there is power
enough on it. The big question will only be if it is useful to install
OptiConnect hardware in 8xx hardware that needs an "compatibility tower"
and you should keep in mind, that OptiMover does no longer exist on V5R1.
There you wouild have to buy OptiConnect or would have to move to Gigabit
Ethernet. The disadvantage for you is, that the SB1 and the 7xx hardware do
not support Gigabit Ethernet as this was introduced with 8xx hardware.
But if the CPU power of the SB1 is not too high, you could setup another
APPL-server there.
