How do the "big databases" look like ?
Hi all "big iSeries" customers,as we would like to know how the big tables are distributed in your
databases, it would be very interesting, if you are one of the customers,
that has at least about 300GB size in the R3SIDDATA, if you could perhaps do
the following commands for us:
a)
DSPFD FILE(R3<SID>DATA/*ALL) TYPE(*MBRLIST)
OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(QGPL/<CUSTOMER-NAME>)
(perhaps in batch)
b)
SAVOBJ with DTACPR(*YES) to a SAVF
c)
Start ftp.exe on your PC to the AS/400 and then GET the SAVF in BIN mode to
the PC. Then you could ZIP this file, so that becomes a lot smaller.
(Unfortunately I can receive e-mails only up about 2.5MB)
Then you could send the results to my mail-adress at:
volker.gueldenpfennigZs...
If the file stays bigger than about 2.5 MB, please let me know via mail.
Then we could perhaps transfer it via sapserv, SAPmats or in splitted
e-mails.
