BASIS: Looking for Terminal of active user (running)

Rudolf,

I'm not certain how skilled you are at debugging, but I recommend the
following:
1. Start SAPMSM66 (SM66) in debug mode
2. Find where data is entered into WP_BNAME. There is probably a cross
reference to USR41 or another table.

Then, you could probably 'merge' code from SAPMSM66 and RSM04000 to cross
reference on PID or TermID/Terminal(USR41). Although this isn't quite the
solution/single program you're looking for, it might at least keep you busy
for a while. 🙂

Subject: BASIS: Looking for Terminal of active user (running)

Hi SAP-Admins!

A BASIS question:
I see a user running in SM50 or SM66 and want to know from which workstation
the request was started.

The user is a "function user", i.e. there are multiple logins with the same
user id
- which is not liked by SAP, but an indispensable necessity for us in the
hospital.

I suppose, the "system" knows the terminal id, but neither the lists nor the
detail
screens/windows show it.

Any insider know how or (un)documented reports?

TIA
Rudi
