Hi Volker,we applied PTF SF62526 and ran program QPZ1DBAP like described in the
IBM-documentation. It took several hours to complete. The number of
tables to be converted is not quite as high as I expected but still
enormous: 10384
I'm going to write a CL-program that reads the file QADBAPSZ and
executes the CHGPF-command for every table that needs to be converted.
Let's see how far we get this weekend.
I wonder what administrators will do, who can't afford to shutdown R/3
the whole weekend?

Hi Michael,
as we talked on the phone, you can run the tool of IBM that is provided by
the PTF SF62526. You should not run the CHGPG during the day, as the
recovery with APYJRNCHG would be nearly impossible if necessary.
I think it would be really best only to do the CHGPF instead of reload, so
you are on the "save site" that no data is lost.

P.S.: Good luck for your upgrade over X-mas with V4R4. Please install at
least all teh PTFs of the infoapar and delete all the SQL-packs before.
