CPI8365 during SAVLIB

Hi phil,
in our city hospital (7*24) we do daily save with SAVWHACT. Sometimes we
have problems with long running batch jobs because they don't commit
transactions within the job, but just at jobend. in such cases we inform our
software provider for IS-Hospital (mostly responsible for such abap's) to
correct the operating sequence.
The only possibility you have is to build in commits after each (or a
couple) of transactions.

Betreff: CPI8365 during SAVLIB
We occasionally have a situation where long-running overnight batch
jobs create pending commitment definitions that cause the backup job
to fail.

Here is the command used in the CL program:

SAVLIB LIB(R3PRDDATA) DEV(TAP01) +
SEQNBR(*END) ENDOPT(*LEAVE) +
SAVACT(*LIB) SAVACTWAIT(1200) +
SAVACTMSGQ(QSYSOPR) OUTPUT(*PRINT)

Tried upping the SAVACTWAIT parm, but some jobs run for hours, so
there's a limit to that.

Has anyone experience something similar, and how to fix?
