IFS Files

Hi Chris,

I believe you can also do a delete with a wildcard for the name:

ftp> delete c:\*

Of course this doesn't help if you need the data. If so, let me know and
I'm sure we can come up with something.

Hey Mike.

Thanks for the info except I still have issues:

AFter FTPing to the 400, when I enter the command, it is not liking it
because the filename is longer than 10. If I shorten it up to 10, it does
not like the ':'.

Any other suggestions that I could try?

Thanks again,
Chris

Hi Chris,

I would ftp to your server and do the following:

ftp> rename C:\My Documents\excel temp

This will rename the file to 'temp' which you can now access via normal
SAP/AS400 utilities.

Hello Mike.

I have a question I think you maybe be able to help me with if you have
time. I have had some ABAP consultants who worked here previously create
some *STMF entries in our IFS file system that I would like to delete.

The problem is that when I try to delete them from Navigation and on the OS
side, it says that it can not find the object. I have tried to rename the
objects but still get the same message. The objects are named C:\My
Documents\excel, C:\program files\, etc.

Do you have any suggestions on how to remove these types?

Thanks,
