POTENTIAL ERRORS DURING APPLY OF SUPPORT PACKAGE

DDIC ACTIVATION FAILURE
Most of the time this is a timing problem; just start up the import again

TEST IMPORT FAILURE - TO FIND OBJECT LOCKED FOR REPAIR
Signon as yourself (not in client 000)
Tools - Administration - Transports - Transport Organizer - SE03
Select - Search for objects in Requests/Tasks (execute)
* Selection of Objects - Enter Object Name
* Select - Status - Modifiable
* Select - Owner not equal 'SAPUSER'
* Select - Also search for sub-objects
* When the task# holding the locked object is displayed;
* You will see the owner of the task with the locked object
* Select the task # & then Goto - Objects View (this will give the actual object
lock which is causing the conflict
* Contact the owner of the task; have them release the task & request. If that
is not possible due to other objects also on the task/request, they need to get
the object off the task/request. After that you can "repeat"

TEST IMPORT FAILURE - Object repaired in system
Signon as yourself (not in client 000)
Tools - Administration - Transports - Transport Organizer - SE03

The test import leads to the following error message:
TW104 <Object> was repaired in this system
All repairs and the respective tasks containing the object, however, have
already been released.
Start Transaction SE03, choose Objects -> Display repaired objects.
Then select the desired object quantity and choose the function 'Reset
repair flag'.

Subject: Delete Change Request

Hi Saplings

I am trying to apply the support package into our
system. It has failed during the import phase as there
are repairs done previously and yet to be released.
Apparently all those repairs was carried out in client
100 which has already been dropped sometime ago. My
question is how can I delete those change requests
affecting the application of hot packages.

we are running 4.6C on V5R1 and Kerenl patch 922.

thanks & regards

mick
