Resetting TMSADM user on 4.0B

Thanks for the details, Peter.
Creating the RFC destinations manually did the trick for me.
You sure wonder why the automatic generation does not copy the current
password into the RFC destination.
Thanks again.
Gerd

Subject: Re: Resetting TMSADM user on 4.0B

Hi Gerd,

i have the idea to change the password of this user by coping the user
in all
Systems of Your landscape. The TSMADM - user is a RFC- user like LOGSYS
for
other functions. So the same way to change or create a new user and/or
connection.

in 000 do the following

1. Copy the user TSMADM to TSMADM2
2. Delete the the old TSMADM
3. Copy the user TSMADM2 to TSMADM make this user temporary to
dialog user and give a initial Password. Do this a user SAP*.
4. Log on with this user and change to the final password
5. Change user to communication user.
6. Do this in all Systems of Your landscape before next step.
7. Print out old RFC-destination
8. Delete old RFC destinatation
9. Create new RFC-destination like the old in man 000. Now You can give
for
user TSMADM a password.
10. Do this in all systems of Your landscape.
Funktion-test is possible by pressing the button "remote login". If
nothing
happens, than connection is o.k.
If You will get a sign-on mask like now, You forget something.

This is a praxis tip done successful with other systemuser.
An you have to work much manually.
I hope it helps!

Regards

Peter
