Create a directory in AL11
Thanks Rick et al,I have decided to shoot myself......
Just took a shower and it happens that this flushes the brain too....
AL11 is there to define ALIASES for directories. Nothing more, nothing less.
There is no reason for defining a directory in AL11 *UNLESS* I want to use an
alias.
I just deleted the /QNTC entry I can have on 4.6 and run a little test program
to copy
a file from an NT server to /tmp and guess....right - worked w/o a problem.
The only other reason for AL11 is to be able to browse the directory. Whilst
this would be a nice feature in my case, I doubt it's a show stopper.
So - lots of fuzz about nuttin
