LRAW data still in EBCDIC in file D010S af ter migration

What was the size of your EBCDIC r3<SID>data library before the migration?
How many hrs/days did the export take?
What is the size of your NT DB now?

migration

Hi Volker,

Just to let you know it really is possible to migrate from the AS/400
to NT. After upgrading our kernel lib & r3install lib to 40B_COM +
latest patches, The export worked without problems.

Not that the Data Base import went without problem, but almost all
solutions were found in OSS notes. The important lesson is to READ
the notes. Then READ them again. If that doesn't work READ them
anyway, maybe by the 3rd or 4th read it starts making sense that it
is a solution to your problem.

It looks like we might leave the AS/400's afterall. But when a 2-way
PC built for $1500 worth of parts can out perform a S20 that cost
$300,000+ the migration starts to make sense.

Thanks for your help.
