Accessing the Online help at SAP
Hi Klaus,in order to speedup things, you might want to just copy the CHN-help-files
to a harddisk instead, but the parameters should be similar to the
foillowing:
eu/iwb/installed_languages = DE
(This is for german and english)
eu/iwb/help_type = 2
(This is for PlainHtmlHttp)
eu/iwb/server_<Frontend-Platform> = Http-Server-name
(e.g. eu/iwb/server_win32 = help.sap.com)
eu/iwb/path_<Frontend-Platform> = saphelp_46b/helpdata
(This is the directory, served by the Http-server); (This has to be without
DE or EN! This is expected automatically in this directory)
(e.g. eu/iwb/path_win32 = saphelp_46b/helpdata)
<Frontend-Platform> =
mac, os2, unix, win16, win32

I have tried the direct link, and that is much faster then my old CD tower,
(if they don't change the docu. thats OK as long as it works - and then i
don not depend on my NT admin moving the CD arround changing pathnames etc.)
Any idears on how to fill out the profile parameters ?
The direct link is to long for the path.

Hi Klaus,
I think, this may be an option. But, Klaus, please do NOT believe, that the
docu for 4.6B changes at SAP. SAP only updates notes and corrects new
development releases buit not final ones. So, I would say it may be only a
bit slower to access it that way.
Is this really useful ?
