Parm Question
We are running two SB1's as App Servers, both have 8gig memory. OurDB server is a 730 with 13gig memory. We have all 3 instance
parameters for em/initial_size_MB=8196. My understanding is you want
this value to be close to the same size as real memory in the box.I
don't think to large a value will hurt since the unused is never
referenced BUT to small a value will cause major problems.
I have not increased our DB server greater than 8196 to match the
memory. I haven't done this since we don't come close to using this
memory on the DB server and I'm to lazy to track down the OSS notes
for increasing this value over 8gig.
