How to create a STMF?
Hi Franz,If you have QSH installed on your system you can do it very easyly with the
echo command:
QSH CMD('echo xxx > /tmp/myfile')
that's what I use in my CL-programs

Betreff: How to create a STMF?
Hi all,
I'm having a serious problem here: My boss wants me to write a CL progam
which creates a STMF in the file system. The file should contain data that
trigger an SMS tool on NT server.
My problem is, that we have used our AS/400s for the last 5 years as a plain
R/3 Server only, with no other app's runnig, so I haven't learned much about
regular AS/400 tasks except those being essentail for R/3 managment.
So can anybody give me a hint, how to create a file in ifs and write some
data in it? I have already searched a lot of documentation (CL
programming, IFS management, etc.) on IBMs homepage as well as on the CDs
delievered with the software, but haven't found any helpful information. To
be more precise: Nobody here at our site has an idea!
