IBM Supporting 720 ???

Hi,
As IBM announced, from July 7, 2002 will stop supporting models 720/730/740 as
far as upgrading goes (i.e. addling CPU, controllers, WAN adapters or other
features).
In the same letter they also say that the upgrade to models 820/830/840 will be
available for a "reasonable" time (whatever that might be!!)
Unfortunetely the letter is in Greek and I can't attach it but there is also
announcement forn some time now in the ibm web pages.

Thank's for the reply,

Yannis

I liked the comment on the 720 not being supported by IBM. What is
this about? We have a 720 running our DEV system. What is not
supported by IBM? I haven't heard anything about this.

It sounds like the 830+4way is your best option, then run in 2 tier.
