copy Profile back from Prod to Dev

Hi, Mick.

Do you require your profiles and authorizations in your DEV to be the same
as that in PRD? If so, you can use SCC8 in your DEV system and do a remote
copy of the user masters and authorizations from your PRD. Bear in mind
that this will copy ALL the authorizations and user masters from PRD to DEV
(not selective).

If this is not what you want to do, then you need to check your CTS setup
in PRD. When/if you create a transport in PRD, you need to make sure that
your target system is specified so that the request is created as
"transportable". Otherwise you end up releasing transports and they don't
actually create cofiles and datafiles in the OS.

SAP on System i

Hi Saplings

Unfortunately our 2 system profile are not insync due to our
user directly maintain them in the production system. Just
wondering if there is a quick way to reverse the transporting
from prod back to dev.

I created the request in production, released it and try to
add the request into dev buffer, but the tp failed with error
complaining that the cofile and data file not found.

any clue ?

thanks in advance

mick
