We only look at WrkSysSts to see the whole truth.And this is what you will have to keep free...
DspTmpStg only counts what it can see,
but there is more, which I do not know personally. 😉
And there are also some little memory leaks.
You can see the loss when you look at the residual
when you have all your R/3 subsystems down.
Not all is from SAP, but the most.
Count and size of the leaks depends
on your PTF and kernel level, I suppose...

How did you report the 30-45 GB ?
Did you use DSPTMPSTG ?
What does your 'Current unprotect used' show (in WRKSYSSTS) ?
We have 4 instances using some 10 GB reported in DSPTMPSTG but
we have 120 GB in use reported as 'Current unprotect used' in
WRKSYSSTS. Do you have an idea of what the 100 GB left is used for ??
