Thanks to Paul and Des for their response.

I have checked the OUTQ parameters : SEPPAGE (*NO) and JOBSEP (0). All
banners are disabled via Telnet. But this extra page is still printing. Not
only HP printers but also matrix printers are having the same problem.
Especially label printers having big problem because you have set the paper
manually to the right position again after every print.
We really don''t know why this happened suddenly. Because there was no new
PTF applied to the AS/400 or any support package implemented to SAP. We
don't have this problem with the DEV and Q&A systems which are running on a
separate AS/400.
It looks like a higher setting on the system causing this problem.

Any help is very much welcome.

Regards,

Savas Ertugrul

Hi Savas,

Are you using HP printers with internal ethernet network adapters?

If so, you need to disable the banner generated by the printer network card
itself, not the one generated by sap
to do so:
telnet to the HP printer
enter '/' to view the current settings
search for banner
if it is enabled, disable it using banner:0 or banner 0 or whatever the
printer tells you to do
quit to save and exit
re-telnet to examine the new settings

Good Luck,
Paul Hoogendoorn
