OS/400 upgrade - V4R5 to V5R1

I made this upgrade some months ago and we didn't had any problems. The most
important point was run STROBJCVN before starting SAP system.

You hit the issue described under section "General" in note 392165 and the
resolution is note 444524 which is STROBJCVN

I started a list but have not performed our upgrade yet
I will post it

Subject: OS/400 upgrade - V4R5 to V5R1

Greetings Saplings,

I thought I remembered a posting of "follow ups" for the above
mentioned OS upgrade but cannot seem to find it so here goes.

Performed the OS upgrade with the DB and regular CUMs. No problem.
Started SAP. No problem. Try to connect with GUI. No can do. All work
processes in a DB lock wait condition for SVERS. Reapply kernel. Same
problem. Bite the bullet and STROBJCVN (start object conversion) for
the R3<SID>DATA. Pray for 2 hours while it completes. Apply kernel
lib again. Start SAP and all is well.

I could not find anything quite like this in OSS and I'm really
wondering, before I do this in production, was this part of a
standard post OS upgrade SAP procedure or did I just totally luck
out? I thought the object conversion was more for performance rather
than usability. Does anyone have a "Post OS upgrade / SAP gotcha"
checklist?

Sorry - 4.0B, latest kernel(s), LCPs, HotPs

Thanks,
Rick
