Antwort: Dump in SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMO N ITOR

Hi Andre,

it is totally crazy, to use RSDB409C for the first time, if these tables are
large. Please use CLRPFM as described in note 93774!

Regards

Volker

Hi!

I had this problems some months ago and the answer from SAP was that tables
DBSTATHDB4 and DBSTAIHDB4 are very large. You can see the number of entries
in SE16.

To clean these tables, you have to run report RSDB409C and select a date
from you desire delete statistics. For example, you can put 07.01.2002 and
all entries before this date will be deleted from tables.

Caution!!! This process takes much time, depending on how much entries do
you have, run it in backgroud mode. Either generates many entries in
journally receivers!!! Pay attention to avoid your ASP don't reachs the
limit of 90%!

Note: you can schedule this job to run weekly using a default variant that
deletes all entries before a week.

Hope this help you.

Hi Klaus,

if this idea doesn't help and you are not satidfied with the current
situation, you should open an OSS ticket and let me know. Then I can have a
look into the real cause. May be that it can't be workarounded - but I'm in
doubt, especially because you are not one of our largest customers and so I
would expect this nearly everywhere.

Volker

Hi Volker,

I have the same problem. The answer of SAP is:
this is the problem with the maximum size of a stream file (2Gbytes) on
AS/400, is it possible to minimize this file?

It is about the SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR (RSCOLL00) and the problem
appears 2 times daily, although the job runs hourly. Therefore I don't
believe that an erasure of the File remedies the problem. As I reach it,
that the File becomes not so big?

Hi,

I would guess, that some file is created larger than 2 GB, which is not
supported.
How large is your Instance and how many users are you having ?

As IFS is mostly used only intermediately, it might be possible, to
increase the amount of processed records in ST03.
Then as first, I would delete the file "
/usr/sap/P01/DVEBMGS00/data/S04YM1OH " .

Volker

Hi all,

For some days, the job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR is canceling, in
the execution of the program RSDB4T6M. The error is:
EXSORT_FWRITE_FAILED.
Error writing the sorted file to the temporary file.
The sytsem could not write the sorted file to the temporary file
" /usr/sap/P01/DVEBMGS00/data/S04YM1OH ".

Error number: 3507
Error text: "Object too big."

I have looked for in OSS, and I have found the note 158746 that it
recommends delete the parameter DIR_SORTTMP. I have deleted it, but
the error, continues appearing.
Has it happened to somebody before?
Some idea?

Thank you.
