Misformatting in SBWP

Heya Volker, thought it looked familiar!

We are on 4.6C with 4.6D kernel level 1124, dbsl 1088.
Our servers are at V4R5.
We are using CCSID 500.

The error exists in all emails sent from the system from SBWP, but is
only visible during creation with GUI 6.20 (patch level 7). Emails will
appear normal with GUI 4.6D during creation, but the errors exist on the
email when the email is received. (I've only tested with 6.20 and 4.6D
GUI's)

I also noticed that the system inserts a "þ" every time you switch back
and forth between the Message Contents, and Attributes tabs.

I've opened message 19094 with OSS on this if you'd take a look at it,
its still in "Sent to SAP" status.

I know running the ASCII conversion should fix this up... but looks like
we may be holding off a bit on that project.

Thanks again,
Adam

Hi Adam,

definetely!
"Ž" is one of the characters where LF was wrong converted into. You
should let us know what you are using here. What server, what codepage,
what BC, what server, what codepage.

Hopefully we get it fixed then.

Regards

Volker

Hello all,

We've got a message opened on this, but thought I'd run it past the
group.

We've recently set up exchange connector for our R/3 systems, which are
all still on EBCDIC. When sending emails using transaction SBWP,
carriage return/line feeds are incorrectly displayed as "Ž".

Could this be related to the codepage conversion errors discussed in the
conversion course? If so, any ideas to a fix, short of actually running
the ASCII conversion?
