Operating system call connect failed (error no. 3425 )
Hi SAP on iSeries,I have an interesting printing problem...hopefully with a very simple
answer!
Our DEV server and QA server are exactly the same - in terms of OS release
(V5R1) and PTFs. I have identical remote outqs defined on both boxes. Within
R/3, I have the same output devices - transported through and then I have
modified the spool server and destination host.
Within SPAD when I try the connection test, in the QA system I receive error
message "Unable to reach the remote host spool system".
In SM21 I see the message "Operating system call connect failed (error no.
3425 )". OSS note 185569 tells me that error 3425 is 'remote host refused
connection'. (QSPL is started).
If I change the destination host back to the DEV server - no problems, the
spool is sent to the DEV server and prints.
Seems to be fairly straight forward - but I cannot find the reason. Nothing
obvious in the QHST log. Any ideas?
