LODRUN suggestion
Hi All,I've been doing some remote SAP R/3 installations lately and basically I go
one day to customer, copy all CD's to hard disk ( IFS path of course ) and I
use INSTGUI with R3SETUP to install. No problem it's easy and works. But
just a comment: the only command that cannot run with the copied files is
LODRUN, which is needed to create the R3SETUP lib. The only way that LODRUN
works is with the physical kernel CD mounted, I tried some things with no
luck. Does anyone know which steps do this command ? Probably it's possible
to restore contents with a command sequence. Any idea ??
The only thing that works is to use LODRUN the first time and save the
R3SETUP lib in a save file that I can carry on a CD, for example. But this
implies access to an iSeries every time that the version/system is
different.
