Error creating cofile for 46B Basis Support Pa ckage
Hi Betsy,the following normally describes "performance problems" in your /usr/sap/trans:
An error occrured while reading file:
"/usr/sap/trans/EPS/in/CSN0120061532_0011051.PAT".
Error text: "A remote host did not respond within the timeout
period."
Error code: 3447
I guess, you receive this error on a system, where the trans-directory is
located remote. YOu might want to check, if you always get a fast connection
between these 2 servers, or if the IFS is sometimes very slow through
QFileSvr.400. Perhaps you are having a problem with the routing between
different ethernet cards or routers ?
As workaround, you perhaps could change the trans-directory local for this short
time - this would proff the connection problem as well.

Greetings all,
Once again I am having a problem disassembling a support package.
We have DEV and TST on one LPAR and PRD on another. The transport
domain is in DEV. I have successfully applied 46B basis support
packages through #44 in DEV and TST. Now I am trying to apply #37
in PRD in test scenario, and I'm getting an abap DATASET_READ_ERROR:
An error occrured while reading file:
"/usr/sap/trans/EPS/in/CSN0120061532_0011051.PAT".
Error text: "A remote host did not respond within the timeout
period."
Error code: 3447
The data file is created just fine, but it hangs trying to create
the cofile, and then errors out. The cofile cannot be created. I'm
not seeing this as an authorization problem since the data file
creates just fine.
All systems have the latest 46D R3TRANS and TP fixes.
Any ideas?
