Reports / work process that will not end.

Have you tried ending them directly from the operating system using an
option 4 in front of the work process then prompting it w/ F4 and changing
it from controlled to immediate end???

We have two work processes that appear to be stuck in an endless loop and
will not end. I have tried terminating the user sessions, canceling the
jobs with and without core. How can I get these jobs to die short of
shutting down SAP and restarting?
