QCCSID in ASCII Version?
Hi Alan,you are right, you can set this value as you like. The SAP jobs will always run
with CCSID 500 in EBCDIC and in ASCII systems.
I agree with you, that 500 or 037 makes it easier for you with external
programs.

I'd like to ask people who are on the ASCII version what they have set their
system value QCCSID to. Right now mine is at the default of 65535. Looking
at note 554792 it looks like it might make external programming easier if I
changed it to something like 500, which made me wonder what others are
doing.
